Carina Danchik
Biology and Chemistry
As a PhD student at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Carina Danchik is preparing to make a difference in the biomedical research field. Danchik studies cellular and molecular medicine, incorporating coursework and research rotations as she prepares to select her thesis lab. She conducts experiments, processes and analyzes data, shadows senior scientists, and reads field-related research papers. Danchik says Franciscan University provided an invaluable scientific foundation for her transition to graduate school. She is also thankful for her tight-knit relationships with department faculty who were invested in her success each step of the way.
